We ARE still alive and kicking!

So it's been FOREVER since I've posted. Ahhhh, the life of a full time working mom! Many things have changed in the last couple of months. The BEST thing is Daddy is HOME!!!!! Separation from the Navy was hard - but good - but hard - but the best thing ever. We are so proud of Daddy and the service he gave to his country. He was such a hard working and decorated sailor - in fact his just received his 5th Navy Achievement Medal in the mail - an awesome thing. 5 NAM's in 11 years. But he says it feels wonderful to "be out"!

We have found our own little place (an apartment) in Tumwater, WA. Since our house in FL has struggled to sell, we have been having to squeeze the old belts and have really learned that it definitely isn't the size of your house that matters but the amount of the love that is in it! Having said that, our neighbors suck. They are loud, the parking situation is crappy, the kitchen is TINY, etc...... BUT we try to focus on the positives! We are home and take advantage of seeing our friends and family as often as possible.

Yesterday we FINALLY received an offer on our house - yippee! We have lost about $55K since we bought it two years ago. That would be translate into about 25% of what we paid for it. But once that chapter is closed, we will be happy to move on!

My job is great - AND - it's a job! Lyndon is on the hunt. We've been working tediously on his resume and hope that soon something rewarding will come of all his years of hard work in the Navy and all of his wonderful skills, knowledge and experience he's gained.

I promise to post pictures soon. You will see some changes for sure - our sweet little Sydney has astigmatisms in both eyes and now wears glasses. She is cute as cute can be and of course she picked the pink pair with hearts. The first couple of days were rough but now it's very apparent that she needed them! They're the first thing she goes for in the morning!

Signing off, tata and more to come soon. We hope all is well with everyone all over the country! We know we are not alone in suffering through these rough economic times (of course we chose our own path there) but most importantly we wish everyone health and happiness!!!
