O2B Kids with the Brooks Family

Last night we welcomed Melinda, Trevor and TJ up from Ocala for dinner and to stay the night. Our plans to hit the beach today were foiled by some crummy weather but we made the best of it and checked out a place called O2B Kids. It's just 5 minutes from our house and it's basically an indoor dream for kids. There is tons of stuff to do for all ages and we watched Trevor and Sydney play their tootsies off! Since Sydney's all of a sudden grown out of her nap, it was a perfect place to spend the afternoon.....

Friday Beach Trip

On Friday, the kids and I - along with our friends Jessica (the mom), Lydia (Sydney's friend from preschool) and Miles (15 month old cutie!) made a trip to the beach in Ponte Vedra, FL. We all rode together and endured about 45 minutes of the girls' insane screaming in anticipation of our little adventure. The weather was PERFECT! Mid to upper 70's and sunny! We came prepared with our gear - tons of toys, shovels, buckets, a little tent for Isaac, blankets, towels, sunscreen, etc. The girls are two peas in a pod. They are both these gorgeous blondies and from behind, it's often hard to tell which is which! I was a little worried about being outnumbered but it was great - we had so much fun! Sydney is in LOVE with the water - it's hard to pry her away. Isaac enjoyed playing in his tent for about and hour and then he wanted to be out in the action. He kept going for the sand and trying to put handfuls in his mouth. He was too cute!!! After about 3 hours, we packed it up and headed home. We were sure the girls would crash on the car ride home - but NO! They were wired! So we endured another 45 minutes of screaming and ended our trip in tears as Sydney was so sad Lydia had to go home.....

Giving it a whirl

So here our family has been travelling the country for five years now and I'm just realizing an effective way to communicate with everyone without "bothering" them with emails and such. So we'll see how this goes.....

I'm hoping to keep people updated about what we've been up to and include pictures as well so hope you enjoy!
